Educampo is the emblematic project of  the Foundation : A high-impact Productive Model and  Social Responsibility Linkage model, around which the sponsoring companies have committed to channel their contributions to society within a scheme creator of synergies, employment and well-being that promotes   the sustainable development in rural communities.

Educampo’s goal is to promote greater productivity in corn harvests according to the Foundation Methodology and the focus of technology, funding, crop insurance, and better commercial practices in less developed regions.

It’s about a big  project at all levels. It’s a high-impact project because it brings together thousands of peasants; it has a great replication potential, it is great at transforming   own consumption traditional agriculture in profitable exploitations, it yields great benefits to producers with bigger harvests and generates great consequences in the life of peasants and their families, with  greater well-being and opportunities for their children to be better fed, to have the opportunity to study, and to have a better future.

At Educampo, all the components of the project are articulated around two cruxes: the social crux, which essence is an Integral Education Program, and the productive crux, focused on training producers in specific techniques and taking the entrepeneur spirit to the Countryside.

EDUCAMPO CHIAPAS

Educampo began in 2007 in the central valleys of  Chiapas. The productive goals are due to be achieved in 5 years,  by then it is expected to have 7,600 producers and 38 thousand hectares and the companies committed to the Foundation will be in charge of the economic sponsorship and the funding of inputs for the Foundation until achieving the Foundation’s goals.

EDUCAMPO JALISCO

Educampo is an inspiring model that in 2008 began to replicate in six municipalities of the south plateau of Jalisco with a project.  The Development Center of Ciudad Guzman, where its zone of influence is developed, is in charge of this project.

Supported by the results obtained in Chiapas, the Foundation counted with the committed participation of the same companies that supply inputs and technology, including Sabritas, sponsor of the Integral Education Program and buyer of  harvests at the market price.

EDUCAMPO CAMPECHE

This successful program in 2010 was replicated in Campeche in 4 different municipalities: Hecelchakan, Hopelchén, Tenabo, Calkiní y Campeche, benefiting  150 corn producers and 100 soya producers.
