The sustainability of the intervention of the Foundation in the countryside is anchored to a net of independent and with common purposes organizations of the civil society that follow the Development Model of the Foundation in order to reduce the vulnerability of the peasant families with less resources in different regions of the country.

This collaboration scheme with local organizations, through which we offer a Social Basic Education program, training and technical assistance, access to means of production and markets, covers 16 states of the country  through 14 Development Centers and 7 offices directly operated  by the Foundation in the states of Campeche, Chetumal, Chiapas, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo and Veracruz.

According to the  characteristics of the zones and the feasibility of generating sustainable means of living, the projects operated by the Foundation through the Development Centers and their own offices  go from the training in Social Basic Education to building infrastructure, from microcredit to alternative marketing channels, besides a variety of agriculture projects, which results show outstanding increases in the productivity and exploitation of the resources within the producer’s reach.

With sustainability as the core of their strategy and the farming, livestock, agribusiness, and related as the vectors of responsible intervention, in 2010 the Foundation implemented 81 projects.

Therefore, we accomplished to improve the productive capacities of more than 11 thousand agricultural producers with few resources, so that they obtain a decent remuneration, and at the same time we promote the human and social development of people and communities, making an impact on 32,000 beneficiaries.
